Our Annual Ski Trips

School ski trips were definitely the highlights of my school life. It's one of the perks of living near the Rockies. Starting in junior high, we went on a three to five day ski trip every year. It was part of the physical education program. We stayed in a big lodge on the slope. It was so exciting to be away from our parents and stay with our friends. Although it was hard at first, learning to ski was really fun. The thrill of trying to go as fast as you could without loosing control was exhilarating. As the years passed, the excitement moved from skiing to getting into a bit of trouble. The high school ski trips often included sneaking out and visiting the lodge where the girls stayed. It was all innocent fun. We stayed up really late talking and giggling. Those trips were definitely some of the best moments of my school life.
