Smile Day
These days, most people live very busy lives. People rush around going here and there with
their faces buried in their smartphones. No one seems all that happy. I think it's time for
"Smile Day". There is a bit of debate as to which day of the year is considered the happiest,
but more than one study claims it is June 20th. That's the logical date for "Smile Day".
On that day, people will make it a point to smile at everyone they see as they go through
their day. I believe smiles are contagious and so when you see other people smiling at you,
you won't be able to resist smiling back. The official food for "Smile Day" would be ice
cream. It's impossible to eat ice cream without smiling. The official icon would be, of
course, the happy face. I'm sure "Smile Day" would be very popular, and with a bit of luck,
it might spread to other days of the year. Happy Smile Day!
