Calgary
Although Calgary isn't always on the list of great Canadian cities, it's a pretty cool place
to visit. It has a little bit of something for everyone. If you are into shopping, you can
spend some time in Kensington checking out all of the funky shops with original, often handmade
goods. If you are a foodie, the options are endless because you can find anything from Indian
curry to an old fashioned burger, and anything in-between. Of course you'll have to make time
to try some of Alberta's world famous beef at a local steak house as well, grilled just the
way you like it. To work off the calories from all that eating, you can enjoy taking a long
walk on the many kilometers of walking paths that follow the Bow River and wind through many
of Calgary's beautiful parks. For a bit of Calgary history, you can visit Heritage Park and
experience what life was like in Calgary in the late 1800s. It's like being in an old Western
movie. Finally, there is nothing like Calgary hospitality. The people are warm and friendly
always ready to show you a good time.
